We are seeking a dedicated and analytical Process Engineer with expertise in Atomic Layer Deposition (ALD) to join our innovative team. This role is pivotal in optimizing and developing ALD processes for our cutting-edge thin film deposition equipment, contributing to the design team, and engaging in projects with partners . You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including mechanical engineers, electronics specialists, R&D and sales teams, to push the boundaries of material science and thin-film technology.
In addition to your technical responsibilities, you will engage with customers and stakeholders to tailor solutions for specific applications, ensuring our systems meet and exceed expectations in both research and industrial settings.
• Educational Background: PhD in materials science, chemical engineering, physics, or a related field with a strong focus on ALD.
• Process Development: Proven ability to develop, optimize, and troubleshoot ALD processes.
• Experimental Proficiency: Hands-on experience with experimental setup, data analysis, and statistical methods.
• Team Collaboration: Ability to work across disciplines with engineers, researchers, and production teams.
• Customer Engagement: Aptitude for understanding customer needs and translating them into actionable technical solutions.
• Problem Solving: Strong analytical skills to identify challenges and implement practical, innovative solutions.
• Attention to Detail: Exceptional precision in process development, documentation, and reporting.
• Team Collaboration: Willingness and ability to work closely and respectfully with other team members, including cross-functional collaboration with different departments.
• Openness to Learning: A willingness to broaden your knowledge base and skill set, as well as to take and apply constructive feedback.

• Communication Skills: Advanced proficiency in English (written and spoken) for clear, concise communication with teams, clients, and external partners. Knowledge of German or French is a plus.
• Thin Film Expertise: Familiarity with Physical Vapor Deposition (PVD) or Chemical Vapor Deposition (CVD).
• Vacuum Systems: Experience with vacuum systems and their integration into deposition processes.
• Data Analysis Tools: Proficiency in tools like MATLAB, Python, or similar for process data analysis.
• Prototyping: Knowledge of rapid prototyping and material characterization techniques.
• Industry Experience: 2–5 years in process engineering, or experience in industrial projects with a strong focus on ALD or similar thin-film technologies.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Build relationships with key team members across R&D, design, sales, and external partners.
